forever in a day
I'll be waiting
at our lake.
Where stars dance
all day and all night
Singing with the ripples,
laughing with the moon.
But always dancing for you.
So what do you say to the wind that blows,
to the grass, birds and bees.
What excuse can we make for the loss of a life,
oh him. I remember him so.
What choices do we have, and freedoms do we choose,
What makes us who we are.
Why do we make the decisions we do
Is it just about me and you?
I remember the day,
where I once loved you so, and now it is merely a thought
racing past my mind as I retell our story to a heart that has never forgotten.
You never sat still. Never gave it a thought. What could have we become?
Refresh. Refresh. Not possible to see.
a race to infinity in another world for me
searching, trying, oozing doubts
What more does this want from me?
A joy so brief its gone for good. Another too
an hour ill spent from what I rather should.
This is my tale that wields guilt.
A trail, a path. A link.
Lily pad to lily pad amphibians search about
for a meal worth their thought.
Tasting here and there, silent in the light.
Yet no prong left to mark.
Cloaked in light, a figure fades.
Cloaked in shadow, a shape remains.
Darting through the sleepless base the figureless shape re-wakes.
Remove the colour. Replace the lace of tears once spent.
You have again a soul.
Paint the trees a golden blue, why not erase the sea
That so plainly sees the colours of your moon.
Why is it I cant make you smile?
Its the eye that watches out at noon, the glare
So bright.
Your smile fades.
Its shape is gone.
Welcome to my hell.
